Terra’s Kitchen delivers freshly prepared ingredients for full meals according to your dietary preferences. Each box arrives with refrigerated foods for meals, snacks, drinks, and desserts. Per-plate pricing varies, but you save time and money through using prepared ingredients instead of doing the prep work yourself. Orders arrive weekly, and you choose the schedule for when your deliveries arrive.
All delivery options include prepared ingredients that you just need to cook or assemble. There are individual items across a range of categories:
While you have the option to customize each component of your subscription, plans start at $72 per week for two people. If you prefer to order items individually, 1-serving items start at $3.99. To have an order delivered, you must choose more than $72 worth of items.
Before you can schedule a delivery, you have to fill up your refrigerated vessel. Your subscription box arrives in a refrigerated vessel that holds a week’s worth of food products.
Each order for subsequent months will automatically add your original selections to your delivery plan. You can log into your account to change those preferences or make no changes and receive the automatic delivery.
If you want to gift someone a subscription, gift cards are available for purchase. Gift cards come in both E-gift and physical gift card varieties. Choose an amount between $25 and $300 or contact the company for information on ordering bulk cards.
The Better Business Bureau gives Terra’s Kitchen a B- rating. Overall, the company has three complaints filed against it, but there are no customer reviews. There are three complaints which all revolve around unresolved charges to subscriber accounts. Ultimately, all three issues were closed, according to the BBB.
With 309 reviews on TrustPilot, the company currently has a 4-star overall rating. The few one- and two-star reviews complained that they never received their deliveries or received them late and the food had spoiled.
People who reported the quality of the company as “average” highlighted the quality of the food but lamented other features such as limited delivery windows and repetitive menus for those with unique food preferences or allergies. Some noted that the cost of the service was higher than they liked.
People who marked the business as “great” enjoyed the meal choices and portion sizes, but occasionally had concerns about the freshness of the ingredients. Those consumers who reported that the business is “excellent” appreciated the reusable food vessel and storage of the items.
For people who are focused on sustainability and ease of use, the company gets high marks overall.
Delivery days and times vary depending on your location. When you subscribe, you will enter your zip code, which will confirm whether delivery is available where you live and what days you can choose from.
You can schedule deliveries outside of the recurring weekly delivery, but plan ahead to ensure the day you want is an option. Currently, you may only receive a delivery once per month.
Boxes can arrive anytime between 8am and 9pm, but if no one is home, the delivery person will leave the package at the door. You must have a physical address to receive a delivery from Terra’s Kitchen because the boxes are too big for PO boxes. The refrigerated vessel protects your food until you arrive home to unload it.
To return the vessel, you will check the label to see who delivered it. With FedEx, you peel off the shipping label, which reveals the return shipping label.
With UPS, the shipping label is also the return label. With both delivery methods, you just place the vessel back at the location where it was delivered, and the appropriate company will pick it up.
Modifying your delivery day requires that you log into your account, but you can change the delivery date as often as you’d like. Currently, however, you cannot choose delivery on Sunday or Monday due to carrier restrictions. All delivery date changes must be made prior to that week’s cutoff date, so see your account for details on upcoming shipments.
Initial orders are free, as long as you meet the minimum purchase threshold, and subsequent orders receive free shipping with $100 or more in products. Orders under $100 ship for $4.95.
For customer service assistance, you can consult the company’s FAQ page or reach out directly. They offer a contact form on their website, an email address, and a phone number.
You can cancel online by following these simple steps:
Note that canceling your subscription will not cancel deliveries that are already in process. You can also skip a delivery by logging into your account and selecting the calendar date of the delivery you wish to cancel.
