Splendies is a women’s surprise box that arrives monthly and includes underwear within criteria that subscribers choose. Each box contains three pairs of underwear according to the package option you select. The company notes that each package’s MSRP is much higher than the subscription cost, but detailed figures are not available. Boxes ship four times per month, and most orders ship within seven days after you order.
Each package includes three pairs of underwear in the style that you select. Two size options (standard Splendies and Volupties) accommodate sizes from small to 3X, but each sizing structure has its own pricing and options.
Special promotions often give first-time subscribers discounts or the opportunity to earn free items.
The standard package includes three pairs of underwear which arrive monthly. Sizes range from small to extra large. Options include underwear packages with no thongs, a surprise variety, or all thongs. For all Splendies subscriptions, you will pay up front for the entire plan.
This line is plus sizes from 1X to 3X and also includes three pairs of underwear monthly. Selections are either a surprise variety or a package without thongs. All subscriptions require prepayment.
Digital gift cards enable you to gift someone a subscription without choosing the size and style for them. Pricing starts at $41, which is equivalent to a 3-month subscription, and ranges up to $160, which is equivalent to a 1-year subscription.
All subscriptions allow you to skip a shipment. This means you won’t receive an order for the month and you won’t be billed. To skip a shipment:
While it’s not currently active, one section of the website has a link to an online Shop. So there may be sets available for purchase at some point, outside of the subscription option.
Unfortunately, our extensive searches turned up empty-handed when it comes to online reviews of Splendies. The company maintains a list of reviewers that they have working relationships with, presumably affiliates.
Many YouTube and Instagram users also use tags to promote their reviews of the subscription boxes. Their referral program also encourages people to share their opinions via social media, and many reviewers ask followers to use their links so that they can earn free packages.
Stay tuned for updates to this section.
Initial orders ship within about seven days after you subscribe. You’ll receive an email with a tracking number once the order is processed. For example, if you create an account and make an order on the 1st, you should expect a shipment confirmation by the 8th.
Shipping occurs four times per month to accommodate new subscriptions in a timely way. Orders begin going out on or around the 19th of each month. However, holidays affect the shipping schedule. Overall, most orders arrive within 5 to 7 days if you live in the United States.
The company does ship internationally and to Canada, but these orders can take additional delivery time. Holidays can also affect international delivery times. International packages can take up to a month depending on the circumstances.
Shipping is free throughout the United States, for APOs, and all US territories. International shipping is $10 per order and includes tracking so that you know where your package is along its route. Canadian customers can expect delivery to take around four weeks, but other international customers may experience delays depending on their location.
The mailers that the company uses are discreet and do not advertise what’s inside. However, the packages are not actual boxes, but packages instead.
To contact customer service, you must fill out a contact form via the company’s website.
However, you can also reach out via social media on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with quick questions for the company.
Canceling your account must be done via your online login.
Another option is to cancel via the contact form on the company’s website.
Be sure to cancel by the 8th of the month to avoid being billed for the upcoming shipment. If you cancel on or after the 8th, you’ll receive one final box and the cancellation will go into effect on the next month’s order.
Unfortunately, the company does not offer refunds. This means you can cancel your 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscription anytime, but you will not get your money back. Your order will continue to arrive monthly until the end of the subscription period.
The company is based in Santa Monica, but apart from that detail, not much information is available online. Anthony Coombs is one of the co-founders and has participated in interviews in the past, but there’s no face attached to the company.
The company maintains a relatively active blog on their website, and the blogs focus on each month’s themed package. However, the company doesn’t reveal what’s in each monthly box until after the boxes ship out. Most of their social media activity relates to answering customer inquiries and promoting hashtags related to their monthly boxes.
There is an ambassadors page on the website, but it’s not yet active. That leaves prospective subscribers to view YouTube videos with product reviews. See the below unboxing video for a glimpse into what your monthly Splendies box may include.
