Pooch Perks is a subscription box for dogs that delivers pampering products and treats monthly. Each box contains four to five products that include chew toys, treats, and more. Subscribers can expect to save up to 50% off the retail cost of enclosed items. Boxes ship within one week of a subscriber’s initial order date.
Pooch Perks curates boxes of toys, treats, and accessories for pampered pets. Their treats are all sourced in the USA and are all-natural, you can customize boxes for allergies and pet preferences, and each box follows a theme so that you won’t get the same item twice.
Every box contains a minimum of two to three toys and three treats. There are also toy-only boxes which include three toys and treat-only boxes that come with three treat bags and one chew. Smaller sample boxes are also available and only include two products. You can try a sample box see what type of items typically come in the monthly subscription or make it your regular box for a smaller dog or a lower budget.
To sign up, you just need to select your pet size, the type of package you want, and checkout. To start, click on either “GET A BOX” or “GIVE A BOX.” You can also choose the "extra goodie" option to start the signup process by clicking “EXTRA GOODIE IN EVERY POP BOX.”
On the next screen, you’ll enter your pet’s name, birthday, and any allergies. Scroll farther down the page to view the box selections, which include: Popular Pooch, Custom Pooch, or Sample Pooch.
Once you click either the Popular or Custom box option, you’ll see pop-up options to fill in your dog’s size; Small, Medium, Large, or Mixed (for multiple sizes of dogs). You can also choose an extra premium toy here for an additional $7.99. For the Custom box, you can also choose either all-natural or grain-sensitive treats and regular or durable toys.
Also, select your delivery frequency from this page; Monthly, Bi-monthly, or Quarterly. Finally, select a monthly plan option; Month-to-Month, 3 Month Plan, 6 Month Plan, or 12 Month Plan.
At the bottom of the page, you’ll review your order and click “NEXT” to continue to the next screen. There, you’ll enter billing, shipping, and other details, then complete your subscription.
For the Sample Pooch option, which is set up differently than the other two types, you’ll be asked for your dog’s size and name on the first page. The second page allows you to choose a term, whether month to month, 3 month prepay, 6 month prepay, or 12 month prepay. The final screen asks for shipping and payment details.
On any order, you can make your selection a gift order by checking “This is a gift,” then filling in the recipient’s information and a personalized gift message.
Unlike most pet subscription boxes, this one includes multiple pricing tiers that start at a low $11.95 per month. Therefore, the subscription is ideal for those wanting either a sampling of products from the company or those who prefer to pay less for a couple of items per month instead of a larger box.
In addition to the box size options, you can also choose from a variety of delivery and subscription options. Receive your box monthly, bimonthly, or quarterly, and subscribe for terms from one month to 12 months.
This subscription offers three main types of subscription boxes at different price points. They also offer discounts for longer-term subscriptions, along with one-time and recurring sample boxes at a lower per-month price point.
Among each tier, there are options for pets’ sizes, allergies, toy preferences, and pricing.
On Trustpilot, there are 16 Pooch Perks reviews totaling a “Great” rating. This amounts to four out of five stars overall. Positive reviews admire the quality and innovativeness of the toys in each box, noting that dogs of various sizes enjoy their surprises each month.
Budget-wise, subscribers appreciate the value of the products, especially when it comes to comparable retail toys and treats. Overall, there were mostly positive Pooch Perks review comments and the lower or average ones were regarding pets’ individual abilities or preferences regarding treats and toys. Some smaller dogs, for example, had trouble with larger-sized treat items or toys that were too big to comfortably nibble on.
One Pooch Perks review that was less than stellar centered around the subscriber’s concern about the suitability of the toys and treats for smaller pups. At the time, the company responded that their boxes are intended for full-size dogs, hence the lack of “puppy” options on their menus and customization preferences.

While the subscription box does allow customers the option of choosing Durable Toys, they don’t guarantee any products for extreme chewers. Durable toys often contain natural rubber, tough nylon, rope, and other components to aid in durability.
Pooch Perks was created by two pet owners who care about neglected dogs. In 2015, they began the subscription company with the goal of contributing to charities that help pets. Their headquarters is in Florida, and the current CEO is Tina Vidal.
While co-founder Debbie is a self-proclaimed camera-shy personality, it’s not uncommon to see Tina in branded company videos, sharing dog owner tips and tricks for adventuring and daily living. A few of her rescue dogs also make appearances in the videos, and the company maintains a blog with pet parenting information.
