Pley is not BBB accredited and has accumulated negative reviews on BBB.org. These negative reviews focus on technical issues with the site, unapproved credit card charges, poor customer support, and late delivery of the product.
One reviewer commented that many of the toys were “scuffed,” and that while the apparel arrived in good shape, it disintegrated in the laundry. Many reviewers reiterated these product quality issues and commented that consumers would be better off purchasing the toys from the actual brand itself.
For customer complaints on BBB, Pley has responded in most cases and offered to resolve the issue. We were unable to locate additional authoritative sources of reviews, and no positive reviews were found on the BBB website.

Ranan Lachman, founder of Pley and father of two, created the company to help children explore their imaginative sides and indulge their creativity. He also wanted to take away the risk of children not liking their toys for parents.
Ranan Lachman continues to operate the company and has successfully organized under the B corporation structure. This corporate structure means that Pley operates with an ethical compass and treats its employees, contractors, and the environment as well as possible.
You can hear Ranan talk about Pley and how its unique business model – described as the “Netflix of LEGOs” – has allowed it to create a niche for itself in the children’s toy market. Be sure to watch it below to hear from the founder himself!
