Marley Spoon is a weekly delivery service that provides pre-portioned meals to your door. Each delivery will include all the ingredients you need to complete your chosen meals, as well as simple recipe cards. Using Marley Spoon might not save customers any money compared to cooking at home; however, you might see savings if you often eat out at a restaurant. And you can receive your package on whatever day you prefer each week.
Each week, you will select your desired number of meals from a collection of 20 recipes. Once you have placed your order, you will receive your package on your set delivery date. The meals come divided into the necessary servings. You follow the six easy steps, and you'll have a yummy dinner in just 30 minutes.
These meal plans are the perfect solution for busy people who don't have time to do recipe research and shopping. And because the meals only take six steps to prepare, even the most novice of cooks should be able to produce a tasty meal. The most prep you might have to do is some cutting or dicing. No measuring is necessary. That's all done for you when you get your order!
The signup process is quite simple. Select the "Start Cooking Now" button on the Marley Spoon homepage. Select your desired meal plan. You can choose the two, three, or four-day meal plan for two to three people, or you can opt to order for four people. If you prefer vegetarian dishes, click the vegetarian box.
Next, you'll add your zip code and email address. The next step will be to pick your desired delivery date. Then you'll fill in the address form. If you want to provide special instructions for delivery, such as what to do if no one is home to receive the package or to use a specific door, add these to the comment box. Now you'll select your payment method. Once you've completed all of this, you're ready to confirm all your information and pick your meals.
Marley Spoon offers meals endorsed and selected by celebrity Martha Stewart. They only use ingredients that are in season for all of their recipes. And they change their recipes to match the seasons, with new ones every week. The meals arrive in insulated coolers that are guaranteed to keep your food cold. And they have a flexible subscription that lets you skip, pause, or cancel your membership at any time. And the ingredients for each meal are packaged together, so there's no confusion on what goes with which.
When you receive your order, you will have two, three, or four packages inside an insulated cooler. Each bag will have all the ingredients you need to make one meal (some recipes might require items you would already have in the house like olive oil or salt). You will get the meats, vegetables, and seasonings, which have all been pre-portioned for easy convenience.
The meals are easily identifiable on the package, so you'll know what you're cooking. And each 6 step recipe card contains a picture of the final product for comparison. The price varies based on the people it will feed, as well as how many meals you will order. However, there is an $8.99 shipping fee added to every order.

The story behind how Marley Spoon got its name is quite inspiring. Founders Fabian Siegel and Till Neatby were backpacking through Asia in the 90s. They got caught in a bad storm on a secluded island. There, they discovered their muse: a restaurant called Marley's. Where they received home cooking that they never forgot.
The idea behind the creation of Marley Spoon started when Fabian realized that despite seeing great ingredients at the supermarket, he would always buy the same items. So, he and his childhood friend Till came up with the idea to create a weeknight meal plan that would offer a variety of options that would be simple to prepare.
Siegel is the current CEO of Marley Spoon. His background includes being the co-founder of multiple startups and holding a Master's Diploma in Economics from The University of Bonn in Germany.
The company was rebranded in 2016 and is now Martha & Marley Spoon. Martha Stewart is the new face for the brand and all of the recipes you will cook come out of her extensive collection. You can see what Marley Spoon can do for you by watching this helpful video.
