KitNipBox is a monthly cat box that caters to felines only. In each month’s delivery, subscribers can expect cat toys, all-natural treats, and other fun and healthy cat products. Members can expect to save up to half off retail. Subscribers can expect their initial delivery within three to eight days, with subsequent boxes shipping on the 1st or 15th depending on the delivery cycle.
KitNipBox is for cat owners and their pets. Unlike other subscription pet boxes, this one is only for felines. Whether you have one cat or multiple, there’s a catnip box (plus other goodies in each shipment) to suit your needs.
Each delivery contains cat toys, treats, accessories, health and hygiene products, gadgets, and even a few surprises. As an example, one “sample” item list on the website includes a catnip bell, a catnip toy, a kicker toy, a felt toy, and grain-free treats.
The sample Multi-Cat option includes the basic box items plus extras like a squeaky mouse, a tweeting light-up toy, and a larger kicker toy.
To sign up for this cat subscription box, you’ll click on either “GET STARTED” or “GIVE A GIFT” on the homepage of the company’s website. If you click “GET STARTED,” you’ll then select from three subscription types: Happy Cat, Multi-Cat, or VIP.
Once you select a subscription type, you’ll need to fill in your shipping, billing, payment, and subscription information. You can also click the box to remove treats and food items from your subscription, instead opting to receive strictly toys and gear.
Finally, click on “SUBSCRIBE NOW!” to complete your subscription.
For the “GIVE A GIFT” option, you can choose from four gift types: 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, or 12 Months. You’ll enter the gift recipient’s email address (or your own to keep the gift a surprise), an optional gift message, the shipping information, and your billing information.
Once you enter your details, click “ORDER NOW!” to complete the gift subscription.
This company is unique because its boxes cater to cats only, rather than other types of pets. However, they also support a variety of animal welfare organizations that care for more than just cats. Every month, they donate a portion of their proceeds (along with select products) to shelters, rescues, and more.
While all subscription boxes with this company offer both treats and toys, there is a non-food option if your cats have allergies or you simply don’t want to receive treat items. Monthly boxes range from five to ten kitty items (depending on the type of box), and shipping is always free within the US.
Rather than requiring multiple subscriptions to cover more than one cat, the company offers a Multi-Cat option, plus a VIP one with bigger and better kitty surprises.
For regular subscriptions, the company offers three tiers of boxes. Each subscription automatically renews monthly, but there are no long-term subscriptions or discounts available for regular subscribers.
The Happy Cat box includes five edible, toy, and/or gear items. It costs $19.99 per month.
For households with multiple (or just spoiled) cats, the Multi-Cat comes with seven edible, toy, and/or gear items. It costs $29.99 per month.
The VIP box is intended for multiple (or very spoiled) cats and includes ten edible, toy, and/or gear items. It costs $39.99 per month.
For gift subscriptions, the company offers four subscription lengths, but only one type of box (the standard Happy Cat five-item option). Unlike the regular subscription option, gift options include discounts for multiple month purchases.
Subscription lengths include:
For all US-based subscribers, shipping is free. For residents of Canada, shipping is $6.95 and for Australia residents it’s $7.95.
For KitNipBox reviews, you just need to check out the company’s Facebook page. Overall, they received over 1,600 reviews totaling a 4.8 out of 5. Also, at least 130 people have recommended the company.
Most positive KitNipBox reviews note the high quality of the products inside each box, the warm and accommodating customer service response, the fun themes for each delivery, and the fact that even older cats seemed to enjoy the variety of toys and played youthfully with them.
The few negative KitNipBox reviews reflected the opinion that toys were low in quality or durability. However, that was only noted in a small portion of reviews. The only other negative feedback subscribers had was regarding their cats’ response to the toys and treats, which is, of course, dependent upon the personality and temperament of each subscriber’s felines!
