How It Works

This subscription box includes fun themed items for cat owners, and subscribers can choose to receive items for cat ladies only, or for cat ladies and their kitties, too. In general, subscribers are cat owners, but they can also be people who are just passionate about feline friends.

Each regular monthly box contains items like t-shirts, artwork, home décor, and more, including artisan created products that aren’t available anywhere else. The next level up box includes treats for your cats, too- specifically, two toys or other fun treats.

To sign up for this subscription box, click on “GET STARTED” from any page on their website. Note the banner at the top that indicates whether you’ll receive the current or subsequent month’s box- this depends on what date you order your box on.

The first screen asks you to select either the CRAZY or regular cat lady box. Click on “CHOOSE” to continue to the next page. Both subscription options will ask you to choose a unisex t-shirt size; sizes range from S to XXXL. Click “SELECT OPTION” on the appropriate size to navigate to the next screen.

From here, you’ll need to choose a subscription term; month to month, 3 month prepay, or 6 month prepay. Click “SUBSCRIBE” under your preferred option. This final screen asks for your shipping, billing, and new account login information. Finally, you’ll click “PLACE ORDER” to confirm and subscribe.

Continue on for a comprehensive CatLadyBox review that covers what’s unique about this company and what comes in every box.

What Makes Cat Lady Box Unique?

Cat Lady Box is unique because instead of catering to cats only, it extends a bit of love to their owners! Goods in each box cover every cat lover’s home, wardrobe, entertainment, and more with items like t-shirts, umbrellas, artwork, and more.

For example, past popular products have included a cat decal tote, a cat printed umbrella, artisan soaps in cat-themed scents, cat earrings, and custom-designed cat shirts.

However, like other monthly pet subscription boxes, there are also some goodies for the felines- with the CRAZY upgrade box option, your cats also receive two goodies of their own.

Cat Lady Box Reviews

The company has a great reputation according to its Facebook reviews, which earned it a 4.9 out of 5 overall ranking. Along with cat puns and plenty of heart emojis, the company tends to personally respond to most reviews.

Following the general consensus of the company’s reviews in general, one Cat Lady Box review summarized that the company offers original items that are high quality and that its customer service is exceptional. Most other reviews agreed.

One negative Cat Lady Box review claimed that some of the items in their subscription were either missing or were damaged, but that doesn’t appear to be the norm when it comes to this subscription service.

Overall, consumers are satisfied with the type and quality of items they receive, and they also appreciate the fact that the company gives back to cat rescues each month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few frequently asked questions about the CatLadyBox company.

When Will It Ship?

These subscription boxes ship out around the last week of each month, between the 26th and 31st. The first box you receive depends on how soon you place your order; you will either receive the current month’s box or the next month’s themed delivery.

How Can I Contact Customer Service?

You can reach customer service via email at meow@catladybox.com.

Do They Send Treats? What If My Cat Has An Allergy?

The two cat-friendly items that arrive in the upgraded subscription box are always surprises, which means they may involve edible treats. Currently, the company does not offer a treat-free box to accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions.

However, their website notes that they only send treats about every three to four months, so in general, your cats should be able to enjoy the deliveries allergy-free.

How Can I Cancel My Subscription?

To cancel, you can log in to your online account and cancel all future orders. However, if you’ve subscribed for a longer term already, note that there are no full or partial refunds- you’ll still receive the rest of the boxes in your subscription.

Keep in mind that you can also skip a renewal by editing your subscription in your online account. Selecting this option pauses billing for the next renewal, whatever term your subscription includes.

Does The Company Donate To Charity?

The company has its own donation program that contributes to cat rescue programs and other feline-friendly organizations each month. Subscribers can also nominate rescues to be recipients of the donation program.

Company History

Cat Lady Box started with founder Dorian Wagner, who visited cat shelters to show love to kitties who didn’t have homes. In fact, a photo of her feeding shelter cats kitty treats has made the rounds online, featuring comments calling her the “crazy cat lady.”

But Dorian didn’t mind the nickname- she got her start in the kitty box world by beginning a blog for cute cat videos. A year later, she began an annual toy and treat drive for shelter animals. The next year, she started a transport network that provides volunteers to drive cats to their new homes and to no-kill shelters.

And finally, Dorian created the subscription box company that not only delivers goods to crazy cat owners like herself, but also helps raise funds to help care for cats while they wait for their forever homes. And as Dorian likes to say, and the company is fond of quoting, she’s not crazy, just crazy about cats, like most, if not all, of her subscribers.
