Getting started with the razors is very easy. To start, just click on the “get started” banner on their website. From there, the website will prompt you to take a small quiz which involves choosing a razor color and picking how often you’ll receive replacement cartridges.
Next, you’ll be prompted to (optionally) choose other products to add on to your order. Once you’ve chosen your products, you simply checkout with your billing and shipping information and your subscription is good to go!

They provide a flat price and a simple, free delivery system. The few extras that they do have available are environmentally-conscious and inexpensive.
Another unique aspect, the company has made it a priority to advocate for women everywhere, regardless of whether or not they shave, and they donate 1% of their revenue to women’s causes across the world. The company was created to combat the “pink tax” that women pay when buying razors.
These razors always cost $9, no matter what. This goes for your first shipment that includes the razor itself and the wall mount, as well as every cartridge refill you receive after that (unless you add additional products to your order, of course). According to the plentiful reviews available online, the company does its job well. Their razor has been featured in Allure magazine where it won the Best of Beauty award for 2018, and its reviews have graced the pages of many a magazine and website. Their Facebook page, where they have over 50,000 followers and likes, is also overflowing with stellar reviews.
We tried to find any unhappy reviews, but we didn’t have that much luck! One Billie Razor review on Facebook stated that their website was recently having issues, but we couldn’t replicate the issue ourselves. Another reviewer complained of long shipping times. However, we were unable to find much else in the way of unhappy Billie Razor reviews – most of them were glowing!
Among the women who left a Billie Razor review, most were very satisfied with the quality of the shave, the smoothness of the cartridge, and the satisfying lack of cuts and bumps post-shave. Customer service also seems to be excellent, and they provide a lot of flexibility with altering deliveries or skipping shipments. Your products’ shipment date is determined based on when you started your subscription. For example, if you first purchased your razor on the 28th of a month, your subsequent shipments would also be sent out on or around the 28th.
The company recommends that you replace your razor head after seven shaves. According to the website, everyday shavers should set refills to be delivered every month. Those who shave a few times a week are recommended to receive refills every two months, and those who shave once per week are advised to get refills once every three months.
The razor comes with five steel blades made in the USA. The shave cartridges are surrounded by a coconut-based carbon moisturizer and skin protectant to ensure the best possible shave. In addition, the set contains a magnetic holder to keep your razor dry and out of the way, and the razor handle was designed in the USA to be stylish and ergonomically-shaped.
This company’s main competitor for women’s razor subscriptions is Venus. While Venus’ most basic package starts at $10 for only three blades, you must upgrade in order to receive the same quality cartridges. A five-blade razor head with a similar soap surround as Billie’s standard razor from Venus starts at $15, while the extra-sensitive version is $17.
Billie was founded in 2017 by Georgina Gooley and Jason Bravman, a year after they first conceived of the idea. They’re now part of a team of eleven employees.
