Beautyfix is a monthly box with samples of skincare, haircare & hairstyling, and makeup products. Products are often large travel size and come from a variety of high-quality brands. Subscribers save 28% on average compared to customers who purchase the sampled products individually or purchase a single box. All boxes are shipped 24-48 hours after purchase and are expected to arrive in 5-8 business days.
There is only one price for the subscription service, which is $24.95 per box, per month. A customer who wants to purchase this month’s box without committing to future boxes can do so for $34.95.
Included in the box are a range of skincare, haircare, hairstyling, and makeup products, all from brands sold on the website dermstore.com. Some of the products contain spa-grade ingredients, while others are less high-quality. Currently, dermstore.com carries over 867 distinct lines of beauty products. Products in any given box might include:
The Beautyfix subscription box has yet to be reviewed on major accredited consumer advocate sites, such as those run by the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, highya, and Trustpilot.
That being said, Beautyfix is a subscription service from dermstore.com, which has largely negative reviews online. TrustPilot gives dermstore.com 1 out of 5 stars, an overall rating of “Bad.” Meanwhile, on the Better Business Bureau site, 14 out of 16 customer reviews were “negative.”
The main complaints surround problems receiving and returning products, credit-card charges for items not purchased, and poor customer service. It seemed to be especially hard for customers to get a refund if they were sent a damaged product or just something they didn’t actually order; customer services representatives seemed to frequently say rude thing, hang up on customers, and not know the answers to product-related questions. For example, one customer didn’t know if a product was for dry skin or oily skin, and the customer service representative said it was for any kind of skin-- which turned out to be incorrect.
Still, there are no reviews of the BeautyFix subscription box on these sites, nor do there seem to be any complaints regarding returns and refunds when it comes to Beautyfix.
According to Beautyfix, your first order will be processed and shipped within 24-48 hours of purchase.
Beautyfix ships to both the United States and Canada; shipping is free.

Craig Kaffert MD, a board-certified dermatologist, started Dermstore back in 1999 with the goal of having an online skincare retailer in which all the products were vetted and curated by professional skincare experts. He was initially interested in dermatology when he began to study medicine at UCLA and continued to pursue the practice ever since.
He is often inspired by skincare innovation in Korea, as the country has both long-standing traditions of skin treatments which date back to ancient times and up-to-the-minute scientific advances. Kaffert’s desire to promote effective Korean skincare products in the United States (such as odorless sulfur skin creams) led him to create DermStore online. He still runs DermStore and its subsidiaries to this day.
In 2012, Dermstore expanded to include beauty products as well as skincare products, and in that same year, the only brick-and-mortar Dermstore was opened in Hermosa Beach, California. Dermstore was purchased by Target Corporation back in 2013, and the Beautyfix subscription boxes were launched in January of 2017.
