Long-time subscribers know all about BarkBox themes. The company puts a ton of time into making sure that all of the high-quality dog toys, treats, and chews in their monthly boxes are tied together around a fun concept.
This medieval-theme delivery provided puppies with toys and treats that revolve around the magical world of King Arthur. It included three featured BarkBox toys, two bags of treats, and one chewer.
The box came with a paper crown for your dog so that they can become “King Arfur” during playtime! It also included a mad-lib style scroll that was tied into the King Arthur theme.
Let’s take a closer look at what else was included in one of the most magical BarkBox themes. This plush squeaker toy from BARK was based on the classic character, “Lancelot”. The soft furry material made it great for snuggling!
This was a really cool idea for a toy to be included in one of the BarkBox themes, even though it was based on a violent weapon. The stretch rope and squeaky “spike ball” had our pup entertained for hours.
Sometimes dogs are more engaged with toys that make sounds. BARK has recently introduced “crinkle” effects into their toys. This dragon featured wings that “crinkled” to keep your dogs attention during playtime.
These grain-free treats promote healthy support of your dog’s skin and fur. They are made in the USA and are perfect for rewarding good behavior. For every bag that was shipped, BarkBox donated to the nonprofit “War Dogs Making It Home”.
Dogs were able to enjoy their own medieval snack with these treats. The treats were made with an all-natural recipe and were manufactured in the USA & Canada.
This product was made in the USA and promotes the dental health and hygiene of your dog. The chew helps to clean away plaque and tartar build-up due to its unique shape.
This monthly theme brings us back 65 million years (455 million dog years) in time to the Jurassic period. Each item in the box was focused on Dinosaurs in one way or another. The entire delivery was created with larger dogs in mind.
Here is a look at what was included.
Harry the Dinosaur was mostly a plush toy, but also included the “crinkle” feature in the egg portion. Instead of the usual squeaker, the toy made a hatching noise when your dog chewed it.
As part of BARK’s “heavy chewer” line of BarkBox toys, Herbert featured a “pull-through” rope toy for tug play. There was also a secret durable spike-ball inside for when your pup ripped Herbert to shreds!
Archie the Pterodactyl features a big plush head and a body made entirely of the crinkly paper material. He was made to keep your dog’s attention; and it worked!
We’re not sure if the T-rex had purple bones or not, but we’re not complaining! This Jurassic-themed chew toy was super durable and made from non-toxic ingredients.
These pork and sweet potato treats were made for sensitive dogs with allergies. The USA-made snacks were free of wheat, corn, and soy to ensure easy digestion.
These soft and chewy dog treats were made in the USA to be easy on your dog’s teeth. The “Dinosaur Meat” is dried out for maximum chewiness. This product is all natural as well as wheat and gluten free.
The New York City Theme from BarkBox takes us to the city that never sleeps. Everything we received in this box was strongly related to the Big Apple.
The items in the box came wrapped in paper designed with images of NYC. It also had a description of the theme and the items included in your box.
Some of the items subscribers received were:
These plush BarkBox toys were great for dogs who love to fetch, tug, and cuddle. Shaped like dumplings, they came with a crinkly plush container and each dumpling has a squeaker on the inside.
Every New Yorker knows the joy of a good street cart pretzel. This Preztel Rope Plush was meant for heavy chewers and features ballistic-nylon and t-shirt rope stuffing (instead of all that annoying fluff stuff.
Most dogs love things that are bouncy and squeaky. This toy had a squeaker ball inside and was designed with the crown of the statue of liberty to keep with the New York theme. To keep your dog busy after they chewed through the toy, the spiky ball core was included in the core.
With the abundance of pigeons in New York City, a toy had to be created and included in this theme. This toy was packed with a fluffy stuffing and tearable hair that looked like feathers. Twenty-nine different squeakers were tested to get the perfectly unique grunting sound for when your dog played with it.
Our dog loved this original, all-natural dog treat from BARK. The New York Pizza themed treat was moist and chewy just like the real thing.
These chews by Etta Says! were easily digested and also promoted tooth and gum health. This was a nice product to include if your dog suffers from allergies or if they are a picky eater.
All of the toys, chews, and treats that were included in our favorite BarkBox past boxes were fun, interactive, and extremely high-quality. We love the fact that their treats were preservative free and made with healthy ingredients.
Although our dogs can’t tell the difference between a high-quality and a low-quality product, the fact that BarkBox takes the times to include products like this in their pet subscription boxes, gives us all a little more peace of mind when purchasing their products for our beloved pups.
